Update #3: We’re Funded! Thank You Everyone!

December 31, 2011

[Originally posted by Zac to KickStarter 3rd December 2011]

Thank you so much to all of our backers!  You are now part of the first crowd-funded space mission!  We raised almost two-and-a-half times our initial goal and will be hard at work for the next several months building KickSat.

Anyone who pledged $25 or more should receive a survey from me within the next couple of days to collect information like names to be printed on KickSat, initials to be transmitted by Sprites, and shipping addresses.  As always, don’t hesitate to contact me with questions.

Thanks again to all of you who are making this possible!

Update #2: New Sprite Prototype

December 31, 2011

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that we’re hard at work prototyping the Sprites for KickSat.  I just finished assembling one of the new boards with improved solar cells.  Once we’re done debugging and testing, we’ll post the final schematics and board layouts online.

Thanks again to all of our backers – none of this would be possible without your support!

Update #1: Thank you to our backers!

A huge thank you to all of our backers for helping us make it over our $30,000 goal for building KickSat!  We’re now on our way to making personal spacecraft a reality, but we still need your help.  More pledges will allow us to shrink and improve the Sprites, and with enough support, we’ll even be able to buy a commercial launch to guarantee KickSat a ride into space as soon as possible.
